About

Hello! Let me introduce myself.

My name is Connie and as you can tell from the name of my blog, I’m a baby boomer. My body tells me that but my head still finds it hard to realize that I’m officially old. (Is 60 really the new 40?)

So, here’s a little peek into my journey: I’ve been on the move since I was a kid because of my dad’s military service. Those summer road trips in our trusty old Chevy station wagon? Absolute classics! As an adult, I had a job that let me roam. I would squirrel away every penny to squeeze in as many vacations as I could. I’ve been to all 50 states, and about 40 countries. I’ve been lucky enough to tick off quite a few bucket list destinations and experiences, but the list keeps growing!

Life took a turn recently when my mom passed away. Now my dad’s living with me. Our travel adventures look a bit different these days. I’m not the globetrotter I thought I’d be, but this time with him is precious. He faces some mobility challenges but doesn’t want to slow down yet. Where there’s a will, there’s a way, right? We’re all about careful planning and making it work, and you can too.

We still love a good road trip so I bought a motorhome and many of our trips now involve camping rather than the fancy hotels I used to enjoy on work trips.

My hope? To light a spark in you to explore, whether it’s jet-setting across the globe or just discovering hidden gems in your own backyard. Let’s keep those adventures rolling.
